She was the first solo female artist the iconic company had ever signed to their label. She has also received funding from The Australia Council for the Arts, won accolades for lyric writing, and was recorded and filmed by Radio JJ in her early days for their Band of the Week compilation album. She continues to write and record as an independent artist.
In 2023, Leonie released her debut EP, which was met with critical acclaim for its blend of modern production and deeply personal themes. Drawing on her Australian roots and unique musical influences, she has cultivated a sound that is both fresh and timeless.
